Create Magento Configurable Products Easily

Use Store Manager for Magento to create your Magento Configurable Products swiftly and in the simplest way!

Magento Configurable Products allow customers to select the variant they desire by choosing among the various options. For example, you sell T-shirts in two colours and three sizes. In this case you would have to create six Magento simple products as individual products (each with its own SKU) and then add these six products to a configurable product, so your customers could choose a size and a colour of a product, and add it to their carts.

Follow these easy to do steps to create your configurable product quickly and without frustration:

1. First of all, Create or Edit Attribute Set for a current configurable product. Visit Magento Attribute set page to see how to create an attribute set.

2. The next step is to create Magento Simple Products that will be a part of your configurable product.

NOTE: You cannot create two simple products with the same attribute set. Otherwise you won’t be able to select these two products for your configurable product.

3. Now make your Magento Configurable Product. Click on “Add Product” button or use right button click on products and select “Add Product”. In the Product Type field select “Configurable Product” (for the T-shirt attribute set, for example).

4. The next step is to Assign Simple Products to Magento Configurable Product by clicking on “Select Configurable Attribute” in “Associated Products” tab in Product Attributes window. You’ll see all products related to the T-shirt Attribute Set that have some options for the configurable attributes.

5. Finally, set price markup for product options and sort order in which product attributes will appear in your store using Super Product Attributes Configuration section.
