Magento Product Properties
In Store Manager for Magento when you choose any product you can see Magento Product Properties at the bottom of the Categories&Products page. You can find Product Properties for any of your Magento products in Store Manager for Magento below the product grid.
Product Properties is the section that provides quick access to various details of the product.
Magento Product Properties would be different for various product types. Thus, Magento
Magento Simple product and Magento Virtual Product would contain only such tabs as:
- image gallery
- tier price
- inventory
- websites
- categories
- related products
- up-sells
- cross-sells
- product review
- product tags
- customers tagged products
- customs options
Product properties of a Magento Configurable product and Magento Grouped product would contain additionally Associated products tab that allows to manage associated products quickly.
In Magento Configurable products can have either the same price or have different price depending on a product option. You can manage this price in Super products attribute configuration section of the Associated products tab.
The “Price” row in the Super products attribute configuration indicates the amount of the price or the percentage by which Magento Configurable product price would change depending on a product option. Price type allows to indicate whether the price would be changed by a Fixed amount or by Percentage. Thus, if you want to change your Configurable product price select fixed price or percentage and specify in the Price row price amount or percent.
For example, if you sell men’s shoes of a different size (product option) they can be purchased either at the same price (the price would be changed by 0) or at a larger price, say $7 each size more ($7 would be added to the simple product price).
Magento Grouped product price would not be shown in the associated product tab as the price depends on the quantity of the products that would be purchased. Thus, Magento Grouped product price would be visible only in a customers’s cart.
Associated products tab also allows you to:
- Add associated product
- Edit product
- Delete selected product or products
- ”Create empty” – create new Simple product assigned to the current Configurable product
- ”Copy from configurable” – create new Configurable product based on the current Configurable product
- Select configurable attributes that will be used for adding new
- Find selected Simple product
- Adjust column width
- Set column auto width
Product properties section of the Magento Bundle product contains additional tab – Bundle items.
Bundle items tab allows you to:
- Add new item
- Edit bundle item
- Edit product data
- Delete selected items
- Find selected simple product
- Expand/collapse products
Magento Downloadable products product properties have two more tabs – downloadable samples:
and downloadable links:
Downloadable samples and downloadable links tabs allow to perform such actions as:
- Add new item
- Edit downloadable samples (downloadable links)
- Delete selected product or products
- Adjust column width

As you see Product Properties section of Store Manager for Magento allows you to switch quickly between different products, their properties thus allowing you to update your Magento store in less time.
